What is your educational background?
I hold a Master of Professional Studies in Arts & Cultural Leadership (2013–2017) from the University of Minnesota, with a capstone focused on Rural Arts Funding Distribution. I also earned a Bachelor of Studio Art (1997–1999) from the University of Minnesota, with academic excellence in Sculpture, Book Arts, and Drawing and studies in Asian, Native American, African American, and Western Art History.

What art forms do you specialize in?
I work primarily in abstract painting, sculpture, and book arts, with experience in drawing, mixed media, and experimental processes. My artistic practice is informed by deep exploration of cultural histories and contemporary expression.
What inspires your work?
I draw inspiration from:
The intersection of personal narrative and cultural history
The dynamics of color, texture, and form
The creative process itself as a form of discovery and experimentation
Do you teach or mentor artists?
Yes! As an instructor and teaching artist, I enjoy guiding emerging artists in exploring technical skills, conceptual development, and professional practices while encouraging independent discovery.
